Healthcare Round Table
Administrators from Bartley Healthcare and Inglemoor Rehabilitation and Care Center with the Nursing faculty from Felician University School of Nursing.
The Institute for Gerontology recently hosted a round table with administrators from Bartley Healthcare in Jackson and Inglemoor Rehabilitation and Care Center in Livingston with Felician nursing faculty to explore partnership opportunities with these highly rated long term care facilities.
The discussion centered on the changing health care landscape, reimbursement issues, and the impact of mega system mergers taking place across the nation and in New Jersey. Nursing faculty discussed their clinical programs and the varied research and capstone projects students are required to complete.
There was a synergy, energy and excitement created by the potential for a more formalized partnership between these long term health care facilities and Felician University which will be followed up in future meetings. Dr. Muriel Shore, dean of the School of Nursing and Ed Eichhorn, vice president for Institutional Advancement, coordinated and hosted this meeting.
