Felician University Holds Annual Homecoming

Felician University recently held its annual Homecoming with a weekend celebration that started with an Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet and ended with a free Nerds Concert. In between, there was the Felician Family Fall Festival featuring food, games, live music, bingo, prizes, and even popular “goat yoga” on the Rutherford Campus.

Felician’s Homecoming put the University’s academic programs in the spotlight. At the Lenke Family i-Lab the public had the opportunity to learn how business students prepare for entrepreneurship, and the challenges and obstacles of starting a business. The Nursing School offered an exciting live birth simulation. In addition, Felician’s second public art exhibition titled, Thisness & Whatness, which will run through December 12, officially opened.

The School of Arts and Sciences offered fun and interactive hands-on presentations on drawing, photography and color. Two soccer games, and a volleyball game were part of homecoming, and the University offered tours of the beautiful 150-year old Iviswold Castle on the Rutherford Campus.

There were receptions, networking opportunities, as well as a Green and Gold Mass in honor of the Felician Sisters, and their ongoing service and support of the community. Sr. Elizabeth Morley came to Felician as a Freshman in 1965, and now works as coordinator of the University’s Tutoring Services. “So, I’m one of the original originals, I came, and I never left,” joked Sr. Morley. “God is always good,” said the Sister, “but he was extra special to give us picture perfect weather for Homecoming.”
