2018 Rutherford Street Fair

Experience the Fun and Festivities: Felician University at the 2018 Rutherford Street Fair!

The 2018 Labor Day Street Fair was a success for Rutherford and the many local small businesses and volunteers who make this event possible. Felician University is a proud co-sponser of the annual event and this year we were excited again to join the borough and residents in celebrating Labor Day.

Over 25,000 attended the event, many who passed by the Felician University table to chat, learn more about the University, and to take away a free balloon. Later in the day, you might have heard Felician’s own Dean Stephanie McGowan and Assistant Vice President Michael Szarek announce matches for “Countdown to Rescuemania 2,” a preview of the fundraising event for Rutherford’s Fire Department that will take place on Septmeber 23 at Felician’s Job Gymnasium. Or, you might have also seen Michael Szarek at the Rutherford Civil Rights Commission booth, a local organization that Felician also supports. Finally, did you get a chance to take a photo with the Governor? VP Francine Andrea and student volunteers were happy to join in a photo-op with Governor Murphy as he and his wife enjoyed the fair.

Thanks again to the students, staff, faculty, and families who volunteered on Labor Day to help make Felician University’s prescence at the Fair a success!
