What We Offer

The Felician University English as a Second Language (ESL) Program will prepare you for your professional future! The goal is to improve your English to help you in a future college or work setting. Whether your level is beginner, intermediate or advanced, we have an ESL program that will fit all your needs.

Improving your language skills

We have five courses you can enroll in:
  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Listening/Discussion
  • Grammar
  • American Culture

How Our Program Works

Since our program has four 16-week levels, you can complete your program in 16 months or less. Also we have a new session beginning at least every eight weeks, giving you 6 start dates to choose from per year! We ask that you register for a minimum of at least one full session, which is 8 weeks long during the school year or 6 weeks long during the summer.

Interested in our ESL Academic Bridge Program?

If you do not meet the English language proficiency requirements for a Felician University bachelor’s or master’s degree program, you may qualify for the ESL Academic Bridge Program. You will begin by taking ESL courses to prepare for the academic challenge of undergraduate or graduate study.

You must apply to both the ESL Academic Bridge Program and the academic program of your choice. If you are accepted, you are given conditional admission to a Felician undergraduate or graduate degree program.

Once you complete the ESL portion of your program, you may begin your bachelor’s or master’s degree. With permission, you may take college courses while pursuing English language study and earn credits that count toward your degree program.
