Assistant Professor - Graduate Counseling Psychology

Felician University is currently seeking a full-time faculty member to join our Graduate Counseling Psychology programs, an energetic campus community and distinguished Arts and Sciences faculty whose excellence is reflected in its Franciscan mission, diversity, and student success.  The candidate brings scholarly experience in understanding behavioral functioning within cultural contexts, particularly in the areas of multiculturalism, social justice, and integrated care models.  Examples of such scholarship cover a wide range of topics such as mindfulness, spirituality, healthcare systems models, integrated and primary care models, neuropsychological approaches to mental health, issues of diversity, counseling processes and outcomes, and impact of systemic discrimination on overall health.  The candidate should also be dedicated to excellence in teaching and advisement of students, as well as be familiar with accreditation processes for masters and doctoral training programs in counseling psychology.

The faculty member will be involved in the development of courses as well as accreditation processes, as we continue to build our newly developed doctoral program.  Teach graduate-level courses, advise students, supervise student research, develop an active personal program of research, participate in University committees, and supervise doctoral trainees.

The candidate for this position must be NJ psychology licensed or license-eligible.  Have an earned doctoral degree in counseling psychology, or allied fields, an active research agenda grounded in the practitioner-scholar model, and potential for applying and securing external grant funding.
