New Infant/Toddler Child Care
Center at Felician College Now Accepting Applications
Rutherford,
NJ—A new infant/toddler child care center on the Rutherford campus of Felician
College (223 Montross Ave.) is now accepting applications for children between
the ages of six weeks to three years old. A
full-time program offered Monday through Fridays beginning July 9, the center
offers two schedules: A base
schedule from 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. at $850/month;
and an extended schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for $975/month. July
9 opening.
The center can accommodate a
maximum of 14 children and offers a
high quality, developmentally appropriate child care for children.
An infant room accommodates six infants while a toddler room accommodates
eight toddlers. “Our main goal is to foster independence and self-esteem,”
said Ischel Pineda, the Director of Felician’s Infant/Toddler Care Center.
Certified and/or degreed teachers and experienced, dedicated staff will
supply warm, caring, development-focused one-to-one attention to the children,
said Pineda.
Director Ixchel Pineda has
been working in the early childhood field for 15 years, has a bachelor’s
degree in psychology with a minor in early childhood, and was a director of an
infant/toddler program for five years. She
is currently pursuing a master’s degree at Bank Street College in
Infant/Parent Development.
