Felician College to Offer "A Taste of Rutherford"

RUTHERFORD, NJ--Felician College will be kicking off its Spring-Fest Weekend with an event that will introduce hundreds of people to the wonderful foods of Rutherford.  The “Taste of Rutherford” will be held on Felician College’s Rutherford campus on April 26, 2002 from 5-9p.m.  In addition to local cuisine, other area businesses will showcase what it is that they do best with samples of their merchandise and/or services.  Sponsored by Felician College and endorsed by the Rutherford Downtown Partnership, the event benefits the 55 Kip Center — Rutherford’s Activity Center for Seniors. 

Food and dining establishments from Rutherford’s trendy Park Avenue district will prepare and donate two or more trays of their most popular dishes to be served at this function.  Participants will have the opportunity to sample a food specialty from each of the participating restaurants.  Judges will sample the food, and prizes will be awarded for the best food in several specialty categories.   

A DJ will provide entertainment during dinner.  Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children 12yrs. and under, and senior citizens.  Come show your support for the 55 Kip Center —  Bergen County’s first fully accredited senior activity center.
