Felician College Invites Children to “Woof” It Up At Summer Academy

Rutherford, NJ—What do animals, technology and the arts have in common?  Fourth and fifth grade children are invited to find out at Felician College’s unique two-week summer academy July 16 - July 27, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.  Focusing on an animal theme, Felician Summer Academy will give campers an opportunity to learn how technology and the arts can work together through fun and exciting activities.  The Felician Summer Academy will be offered on the Rutherford Campus of Felician College (223 Montross Ave.).  

Enrollment for this activity-filled program is for children entering the fourth and fifth grades and is limited to 25 campers to ensure individualized attention. Most activities will take place on campus, although there will be a field trip each week.  The fee for two weeks is $400 and includes all activities, supplies, field trips and Friday lunches.  For an extra $35, campers will be given a box lunch and beverage each day.  Registration Deadline:  May 25, 2001.  For More Information, call 201-559-3548. 

Felician Summer Academy participants will:

Learn about computers and how they can be used to enhance the arts through scene design, promotion and sound.    Participate in writing and staging a short  play.    Make animal masks and other creative activities.    Visit Turtleback Zoo. •  Attend a Broadway Play.
