Felician College to Host 20th Annual Founder’s Day Dinner Dance for Student Scholarships  

Lodi and Rutherford, NJ - Felician College will host the 20th Annual Founder’s Day Dinner Dance for student scholarships on Thursday, April 25, 2002, at the Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel in East Rutherford, NJ. The black-tie optional event begins at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and dancing at 7:30 p.m.  Ticket price is $500. Reservations may be made by calling 201-559-3314. 

Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the school’s Student Scholarship Fund and the New Jersey Food Council Scholarship Fund at Felician College, which provides an annual full-tuition, four-year academic scholarship to a food industry employee or member of an employee’s immediate family. Dinner Dance Chairman Dennis Daniels says he predicts that this year’s event will top the $350,000 raised for scholarships last year.  Daniels, who serves as a Felician College trustee and Council of Regents member, is Vice President of Wakefern Food Corporation. 

The winner of the 2001 New Jersey Food Council Scholarship was, Joanne Quinn, from Lodi, NJ.  Quinn is a dual major, majoring in Elementary Education and English. 

Felician College is a coeducational, Catholic college, founded by the Felician Sisters in the Franciscan tradition.  Located on two campuses, in Lodi and Rutherford, N.J., Felician College enrolls 1700 students in undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Arts and Sciences, Teacher Education and Health Sciences.  A member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Division II, the Golden Falcons field teams in baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, track and field, cross-country, and cheerleading.
