Former Bergen County Court Administrator to Offer Career Insight to Political Science Students at Felician College

 

Rutherford and Lodi, NJ -  Dr. Conrad J. Roncati , who served as Bergen County Court Administrator from 1976 until his retirement in 1997 will address an introductory political science class at Felician College.  A lecture followed by a question and answer period will take place on Friday, March 16, 2001, from 8:15 – 9:30 a.m. on the Rutherford Campus of Felician College, 223 Montross Avenue, Becton Hall, Room 104.  The lecture is free and open to the public.

ABOUT DR. CONRAD RONCATI:

Dr. Conrad J. Roncati, who served as Bergen County Court Administrator from 1976 until his retirement on May 1, 1997, began his judicial career in 1961 as a Probation Officer. He served as Senior Probation Officer and Principal Probation Officer during that period. Dr. Roncati was in charge of the Narcotics Division from 1969 to 1972, served as Pre-Trial Intervention Director in 1974 and as Director of Special Services from 1972 to 1976. He developed a job bank program to employ ex-offenders, organized the Criminal Justice Planning Council of Bergen County, and organized a Student Intern Program with Fairleigh Dickinson University for the Probation Department. He also established the Bergen County Juvenile Police Officers Association and founded the Open Door Society In 1974.

Dr. Roncati served as legal administrator of the law firm of Fischer, Weisinger, Callguire, Porter and Pierce of Englewood Cliffs and President of the Northstar Group, a consulting organization. In addition, he is Chairman of the Board and Founder of the Northstar

Business Network. Dr. Roncati Is Senior Vice President of Design Group Architectura, an architectural, planning, construction and real estate development firm.

Dr. Roncati has been active in community service organizations.  He has served on the Boards of Holy Name Hospital, Junior Achievement, Community Resource Council, Buehler Challenger and Science Foundation, Straight and Narrow Corporation, YEA (Youth Education In the Arts), the Drop-in Center of Hackensack High School, American Heart Association, the Central Trades and Labor Council and The Boy Scouts of America, Bergen County Police Chief's Association, the Bergen County Institute of Law and Public Safety, Bergen County WIB Board (Work Investment Board) and Chairman of the School to Careers Task Force. Dr. Roncati is on the faculty of Bergen Community College and serves on the advisory board of the Legal Assistant and Criminal Justice Advisory Committees.

Dr. Roncati was graduated from Fordham University, received his Master's Degree from Columbia University where he did postgraduate work, and received his doctorate in Administration & Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Also, he has received the Bergen County Bar Association Citizen Achievement Award, the Greater Hackensack Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Citizen Award and is enshrined in the Junior Achievement Hall of Fame.

Dr. Roncati has six grandchildren and resides in Fort Lee.
