Felician College Celebrates Diversity with an International Day of Celebration  

Lodi, NJ – Brightly colored flags, mouth-watering scents wafting from trays loaded with international cuisine, and lively chatter filled Felician College’s cafeteria as students, faculty and staff from Felician College and Immaculate Conception High School came together for a first annual International Celebration Day on January 30, 2002.  

A collaboration between Felician College and Immaculate Conception High School in Lodi, the event featured food, culture and clothing from different countries around the world.  “The purpose of the event was to promote cultural awareness, unity and understanding of the diverse population of people that make up the rich fabric of America,” said Jeff Sinding, Director of International Student Services at Felician College.   

The international celebration was organized by Felician College’s Office of International Students Services and International Club in conjunction with Immaculate Conception High School.  The International Club at Felician College is a student organization whose purpose is to promote friendship and cultural awareness between American and International Students in addition to the local community.  By organizing and implementing educational and social activities, the International Club exposes Felician College and its surrounding local communities to other cultures and traditions.  

Felician College enrolls a diverse student body that includes an international population of students from approximately 20 different countries including, the Philippines, Columbia, Kenya, India, China, Ireland, South Korea, Greece, Poland, Albania, Japan, Trinidad, Ukraine…and more!
