Felician College’s Department of Business Administration Awarded Membership in International Honor Society

Lodi and Rutherford, NJ—Dr. Gerard O'Sullivan, Dean of Felician College’s Division of Arts and Sciences, recently announced that Felician’s Department of Business Administration was granted chapter membership in the Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society for Business, Management and Administration.

"This is a great honor for us, and a tribute to our Business faculty," said Dr. O'Sullivan, who expressed gratitude and acknowledged the work of Prof. Beth Castiglia, Chair of the Business Administration Department; Dr. William Morgan, Associate Professor; Prof. Dennis Huzey, Assistant Professor, and; Prof. Robert Shore, Assistant Professor.

Membership in Sigma Beta Delta is the highest national recognition a business student can receive at a college or university with a Sigma Beta Delta chapter. To be eligible for membership, business majors must rank in the upper 20 percent of the junior or senior classes and be invited to membership by the faculty officers.  In addition to members of the traditional student body, adult learners in Felician's accelerated degree completion program in Organizational Management also qualify for membership in Sigma Beta Delta, and up to two students in each cohort group can be nominated for membership.

The purposes of Sigma Beta Delta are to encourage and recognize scholarship and achievement among students of business, management and administration, and to encourage and promote personal and professional improvement and a life distinguished by honorable service to humankind.
