Felician College is committed to the education of students with diverse
backgrounds. Thus, the programs incorporate a variety of teaching styles and learning experiences
to facilitate student’s achievement of their academic goals. The Division of Nursing & Health Management Programs offers
several different nursing programs:
The Generic Baccalaureate Nursing Program prepares professional nurses to direct and manage nursing
care for clients and families of all ages in a variety of settings which include the home, community,
school, workplace, clinic, hospital and long-term care working in collaboration with other disciplines.
Graduates of the program are prepared to continue their education at the master’s level. A Bachelor of
Science in Nursing degree is awarded after successful completion of the program.
The Upper Division Baccalaureate Nursing is a curriculum designed for registered nurses. The program expands
the ability to provide health care for culturally diverse populations and gives opportunities for international
nursing experiences. The program focuses on health assessment, family, community, research, ethics, and the
development of leadership and management skills. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is awarded after
successful completion of the program. Graduates of the program are prepared to continue their education at
the master’s level.
The MSN for Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner curriculum prepares registered nurses for primary care practice.
The program emphasizes nursing care of families or adults with a specific focus on vulnerable and underserved
populations. A Master of Science in Nursing degree is awarded after successful completion of the program.
Graduates of the program are prepared to continue their education at the doctoral level.
The Post Master’s Certificate for Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner curriculum prepares a nurse
with a master’s degree in nursing for primary care practice. A post master’s certificate is awarded
after successful completion of the program.
Felician College is a member of the Northern New Jersey Education Consortium (NNJNEC). The NNJNEC is
composed of several institutions of higher education committed to "sustained and professional sharing
of expertise and strengths across faculty programs and other institutional resources for the advancement
of cost effective, high quality under-graduate and graduate academic programs."
The NNJNEC collaborative agreement allows students the opportunity to:
Participate in cross registration at consortium institutions.
Participate in joint research opportunities and projects with other students from the con-sortium schools to foster a broader base for academic excellence and collegial sharing of faculty expertise.
